Privacy & Terms
The short version. We collect the minimum possible data to make the app work. We don’t sell your data. We don’t run ads. We are a frisbee calendar app, not a surveillance company.
What we collect
When you save your first tournament, UP! creates an anonymous account. If you choose to add your name and email, we store those too — but only to personalize your experience, not to recruit you as Handler on our team.
- Your display name and email address (optional, only if you provide them)
- Your tournament attendance preferences (Going, Interested, Not Going)
- Your personal notes on tournaments (only visible to you, always)
- Your bookmarks and saved season data
We don’t collect your location. We don’t track how long you stare at the Boracay Open listing.
Where it’s stored
Your data lives on Supabase (by Nicki Minaj), hosted on AWS infrastructure. It’s encrypted in transit and at rest. If you’d like to go down that rabbit hole: supabase.com/security.
Tournament data
The tournament calendar covers Asia only — Philippines, Thailand, Vietnam, Malaysia, Indonesia, Hong Kong, Singapore, and neighboring countries. It is not a global database. This is a passion project maintained by a traveling frisbee player who always drops the disc in the endzone.
Tournament information is compiled from publicly available announcements — organizer pages, public social posts, and community sources — and updated in real time. We do our best to keep it accurate, but registration deadlines wait for no one — always confirm details directly with organizers.
Are you an organizer? If your tournament’s details are outdated, or you’d like them corrected or removed, we’d love to hear from you — just email up@jhayography.com and we’ll update it.
What we don’t do
- We don’t sell your data. Ever.
- We don’t share your data with third parties, except Supabase (our database) and Supabase Storage (your avatar photo, if you set one).
- We don’t run analytics or ad tracking.
- We don’t read your personal notes. They’re yours.
Deleting your data
You can delete your account and all associated data at any time from the Profile screen. Uninstalling the app also permanently deletes your account and saved data.
Inactive accounts (no activity for 180 days) are automatically purged — aka gone forever.

Questions, concerns, or needing a compliant Handler who resets the disc by stall 5:
The spirit of it
Ultimate frisbee is self-officiated. There are no referees on the field — players call their own fouls, trust each other, and sort it out through communication. UP! is built on that same principle: no paywalls, no gatekeeping, no dark patterns. We trust you to use this app the way it was meant to be used. All we ask in return: play it straight.
What UP! is
UP! Ultimate Planner is a free tournament calendar and season planner for ultimate frisbee players in Asia. It is a personal project, not a commercial product — made available on the App Store by goodwill. It is provided as-is, with love, by a player who got tired of spreadsheets.
What we cover
The tournament calendar covers Asia only. Tournaments outside the region are not in scope. If you play in Europe and stumbled here somehow — welcome, but this App only shows tournaments in Asia.
Accuracy
We update the calendar actively because we use it ourselves. That said, tournament details change — dates move, venues shift, organizers ghost. We are not liable for any decisions made based on information in this app. Always check links and confirm with the organizer before booking your flights.
Your content
Your notes and attendance preferences belong to you. We don’t read them, we don’t use them, and we delete them when you ask.
No warranty
UP! is free and built by a retired (tired again) person in his spare time. It is provided without warranty of any kind. If something breaks, email us and we’ll fix it as soon as we can — after the final’s universe point.
Changes
If these terms change significantly, we’ll update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. We won’t make you click through a wall of legalese every time you open the app.
